GrynukMaria Grinyuk was born November 24, 1959 in the village of. Old Kosiv Ivano-Frankivsk region.

From childhood I was fond of drawing. Parents in every way contributed to the development of artistic talent of his daughter. First of all, she gave her a chance to study at Kosiv's children's art studio. Sometimes they arranged to communicate with well-known Lviv artists who came to the sketches to the Carpathian villages, in particular with V. Patik, V. Kravchenko, and others.

From 1975 to 1979 he studied at the Kosiv College of Folk Arts at the department of artistic ceramics.

Maria's cherished dream was to enter the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts, so the last years of study at the college are aimed at improving the drawing. These were the daily searches of style in oil painting technology.

The fate tempted the young "artist" another test. Almost before the defense of the thesis in the technical school she was offered further training at the preparatory courses of the Kiev Theater Institute. Karpenko-Karya. But the crazy desire to get into the city of Lion with its fiercely fantastic architecture and love for the picture were much deeper than a few-minute hesitation before, it would seem, an interesting proposition.

Further - studies at the Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts, which ended with the praise of the State Qualification Commission. Diploma project and dinner porcelain service in "Singer's" material received positive reviews and was exhibited at the international exhibition in Japan "Expo-85".

While studying at the technical school and the institute, as well as working creatively, Maria Hryniuk often practiced in the ceramic shops of the majolica and porcelain factories of Ukraine. Being a student of the institute, he was fascinated by the innovative pottery of the Baltic countries and, on the smallest occasion, attended exhibitions of contemporary ceramic artists.

The artist's first attempts to find a new breath in traditional Hutsul ceramics caused the ambiguous reaction of many masters of the canonical tradition of local Kosiv ceramics.

After graduating from the Institute in 1984, Maria Grinyuk came to work as a teacher of painting and painting at the Kosiv College of Folk Arts. True, in the words of the artist, we find out that she wanted to teach sculptures: "I had class teachers-sculptors! This is Ivan Andreikanich and Emmanuel Mysko. Thanks to the latter, I fell in love with the sculpture, but there were no free clocks from the clay. "

And the fate was ordered in its own way. Gradually, step by step, Mary Grinyuk swallowed up the administrative work. First - the deputy from the educational work, and then - from the educational.

After reforming the technical school in the College of І-ІІ levels of accreditation, he became the Deputy Director of Scientific Work, and then - Vice-rector on the scientific work of the Kosiv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts, having obtained at that time a PhD degree in postgraduate studies at the Lviv National Academy of Arts.

From 2001 to 2006, he served as the rector of the Kosiv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts. In 2004 he received the academic title of associate professor.

Maria Hryniuk is a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, author of many articles of domestic and foreign editions, co-author of a book by a Polish photographer and sociologist Anghea Poletz «In the Far Polonynia», is working on his own project «Gallery of Masters of Hutsulshchyna», the publication of which is the book Cheese Toys Maria Matiichuk »

For more than 25 years he has been working at the Kosiv College of Applied and Decorative Arts (now the Kosiv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts of the Lviv National Academy of Arts).

During the period of teaching, he repeatedly initiated interesting exhibitions and educational projects aimed at popularizing Hutsul art.

Awarded the sign "Excellence in education", the Diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Diploma of the Union of Journalists of Ukraine for participation in the project "Ukrainian language - the language of unity". Participant in many regional, all-Ukrainian and foreign exhibitions. Works in the material of majolica, porcelain, and also admires the graphics and decorative painting on paper.
